My wonderful friends at Coral & Tusk have had a popup shop in Brooklyn for the past month and now we're down to the final days! Along with their own beautiful embroidered pieces (I have a bunch of their pillows) they are stocking other makers, like Amelie Mancini, Catbird, M Quan, Peg & Awl, and me! Check it out if you're in the area and let me know how awesome that huge tipi is!!!

friend friday & some links
![]() |
via Urban Revisions |
Arlie is this incredibly talented lady, working in glass and textiles down in Asheville, NC. When I first found her work I tried to pick out my favorites and found myself saving every item I clicked on - especially her free handed glass work. She has a beautiful blog as well, I mean, I could move into her house right now if she'd have me. In fact, I'm blushing to admit that I first found her through an image of her home and studio, and fell in love with her work soon after!
Some links I liked this week:
diy herringbone wood coffee table
a dinner inspired by fragrance
I got goosebumps from this movie trailer
another diy wood table
Also... this weekend I'll be at the PA Guild of Craftesmen show in Wilmington, Delaware (state of my alma mater and one of my best friends) Saturday and Sunday. Come check it out (and my crazy PVC booth walls!) I'm booth 208 and I have 4 tickets I can give out if you get in touch!
p.s. my friend Karen (of Skylark Studio) will be there as well, booth 306!

a whopper
Phew, this week is proving to be a busy and productive one, all driving towards Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn this weekend! I am super excited for this show: a) because I'll have a permanent booth buddy in Tracy, b) because I know a bunch of other talented people who will be traveling from Philly to show as well, and c) because I've heard so many good things about this show and I'm just plain excited to be included!
Details are on the flyer, but I'll be hanging out at booth 180 along with all my usual pieces and a few extra special ones I'm whipping up for the weekend. Right now I'm working on making a new tent sign and a few new table stands. So much to do... four days to go... back to work!

another opening, another show
This weekend you have 3 days to come out and visit me! I'll be on Rittenhouse Square in booth 104 (at the southeast corner of the park, 18th & Rittenhouse) with my terrariums, birds, mobiles, suncatchers, lamps and more. I've been working really hard the past four days to get ready so I'd love it if you came and said hello :)

may shows
For those who like lists (I find them pretty handy), here's a list of where you can find me this May!
Friday, May 4th: This friday is the Alternatives Handmade Market at the DCCA in Wilmington, DE. Amy has rounded up some great people for their spring trunk show, and it coincides with all the First Friday events in Wilmington!
Sunday, May 6th: I'll be at Clover Market again in Ardmore, PA along with over a hundred amazing crafters and vintage hunters. There are great food vendors as well, last month I had fish tacos for lunch, mmm mmm.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, May 11th-13th: I'll be booth 104 at the PA Guild of Craftsmen show on Rittenhouse Square here in Philly! There will be 140 of the guild's best artists showing their works around the perimeter of the park, and it coincides with Mother's Day weekend, so you can make a day of it (or get a last minute handmade gift).
Saturday, May 19th: And my last show in May will be the Trenton Ave Arts Festival, which celebrates East Kensington's incredible mix of local artists, musicians, and eateries. It is held on Trenton Avenue, a wide-open cobblestone street that has been part of Kensington’s rich creative history for over a hundred years. There will be 200+ booths, as well as the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby.
I hope to see you at one (or all!) of these shows. I'll have everything in my shop and more...

love and undies
valentine's display in South Philly :: stained glass undies (see below) :: last photo of the purple bird before being mailed
I'm looking forward to the weekend and all its events! Tomorrow we're going to see the Van Gogh exhibit with some friends and have a belated job-finding celebration for one of them (woo Brad!). This year's show is a collection of underwear decorated by lots of local artist... including me! You can see a preview of my undies above. They're cute stained glass "love briefs" on a wire hanger, with some 3d flying hearts attached... And that's all only on Saturday!! I've put the specifics of all the events below, have a fun-packed weekend!
