pancakes and pendleton

A few photos from this week.  Living in an apartment means there isn't a lot of space.  I can pack away a lot of my smaller pieces, but lamps tend to stay out.  The other day I looked over and saw the light (so glad for more daylight!) shining on the blue circle lamp, it was glistening like water so I took some photos to catch the moment.  This is what is so hard to capture with stained glass- those tiny changes throughout the day.  One of my goals is to make a series of videos of my work throughout a day to show what I always try to describe.

Over the weekend I made some cushion covers with my Mom.  It turned out that one of the pieces of fabric was a bit smaller than the other, which we only realized once we were almost done.  Another hour of work later, and now I have these lovely Pendleton covers.  Talking about mistakes, I almost forgot it was Shrove Tuesday this week!  Living in England for awhile I now have the habit of calling this Pancake Day, and I dutifully observed this tradition by eating far too many pancakes for dinner.
